Coldness go away!

It's just too cold right now and unfortunately it will only get worse. The soil is rock hard, and the horses are extremely stiff in their legs and sore in their hooves. The field is pretty damaged because before it was freezing, there was plenty of mud and that has made the field very uneven with sharp edges.

I rode Giga a little bit today but she was pretty sore and I froze like hell. So it was not the most serious traning section. We took some small jumps but nothing particularly impressive, because I'm after all riding in my western saddle at the moment.

Please look long and hard

Please look long and hard at these pictures. Educate anybody that you can about people who call themselves trainers. Anybody can hang a sign on there fence and call themselves a trainer, they can even lie and say that they have are a carded judge when they are not, they can say that they are a licensed theraputic instructor when they are not. They can say that they are Reining and Cutting instructors when they are not. Sharon is none of these but what she is is the most abusive and cruel people that I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Unfortunately she doesn't keep her rage just to animals, she spreads it all around.

(‎"This is what Sharon Jeffco did to my horse Misty. Sharon did this in a fit of rage, tied her head down and then beat her with a lunge whip. There are a total of 5 places that were split open on her tongue.")

This is from an unknown source, however, it shared many times on Facebook.

How can you treat your animals like that. I am disgusted!

Chill day

Today Learke asked if we should train our horses together. Like make a fun "obstacle course" for the horses. And of course I wanted to do that, it sounded pretty fun. And it suited me fine too, Giga needed a small challenge, I think she is bored at the moment. We were playing us through the whole obstacle course, she just lit up like a little colt. It was nice to see her like that. It went really well. Learke think my Cordeo was pretty nice made. And she even asked if we should make a fun day where we would make some horse equipment, like Sidepull's, Halters, Cordeos etc. It's just a dream to be at the Flower Farm. Yes, I say it often. But it's just an amazing place filled with amazing people and animals! Giga has become a different horse. She rests much more in herself. I think it's good she's in a pen with only mares.

Video of Lady Giga

Here's a small video from last summer. We trained a lot of groundwork :-)

Fairytale tail!

Today I took some pictures. I'm pretty happy with how Giga's tail looks at the moment. You can easily see that I have much time for her. She almost looks like a nice show horse :-D

Today I rode her in the indoor arena. I came very late out to her. It was almost dark when I arrived.
I think I have trained to much on her stop signal or then she's just very tired at the moment. She was just so calm and manageable. Actually she was a little too calm. But I shouldn't complain, when she finally behaves well. Another successful day. What a lovely horse.

In the quiet light

In the quiet light of the stable, you hear a muffled snort, a stamp of a hoof, a friendly nicker. Gentle eyes inquire “How are you old friend?” and suddenly, all your troubles fade away. -Author Unknown

A nice day

Right now training with Giga is going really well. There's progress every day. Today was the best day so far. She was really calm. When I brushed her, she stood still, when I saddled her up she stood still and when I rode her she was very calm and well balanced. It's really nice to see her like this. Plus now that I have much time for her, I have lots of time to brush her mane and tail every day, so she looks like a real fairy tale horse :-) People on the Flower Farm are absolutely in love with her long tail. Several came to say hey to her when I saddled her up :-D
Unfortunately, I rarely have my camera with me. But I might take some pictures tomorrow.
