Just another thought; do they never break their nails? I have a hard enough time not breaking mine constantly and they are short? Hmm I guess I'm not girly enough, I just don't understand it :-D?

One thing I do not understand?
One thing I don't understand are those who ride with long fingernails and lots of makeup on their face. I have nothing against it but I don't understand why some people have a huge need to dress up when they are out with their horses. I met one time a rider with long fake blonde hair, pink long nails and 4 layers of makeup. She was sweet enough but why look like that when you just have to ride? I'd rather just be myself completely natural. It's my sanctuary where I can just be myself completely from head to toe.

One happy horse!
Today I went out to Giga at 12 o'clock. I haven't trained her in over a week since I've been really sick. I let her first run around and play, and she enjoyed it very much. I could see she had a lot of energy that needed to get burned off. She was quite nervous when I picked her up from the field. And the nervousness came from all the trapped energy she wore inside of her body. So I think she was quite happy that she got the chance to run and play around.
After she had played, I trained a little Levade training. And it went really well :-)

Sorry the quality is very bad, it's filmed with a mobile.

Horse of Kings - King of Horses
Enjoy this beautiful video. I fall all away in a Spanish dream-world when I see these beautiful creatures!
Oldest horse in the world
I just found this link. What a great horse. Imagine he's 51 years old. And he still enjoys a gallop on the field. I find it incredible that a horse can become so old. I also hope that my horses lives long and by that time they still have a good health!

Did you know?
Did you know that if you give oats to a cold-blood the reaction you get is as if you pour petrol over an open fire. Most cold-blooded horses simply can not "tolerate" oats. It goes straight up in their heads. It gives them too much energy. There is very much starch in oats,- it gives energy. It is relatively cheap and that's why man buys it. But most horses has a hard time digesting it. By nature, the cold-blooded horses has a calm temper and when you add high-energy (oats) to their diet, it goes straight into the brain and produces a lot of energy that they don't know what to make of. It can change their behavior drastically, many gets aggression problems.
I generally have very bad experiences with oats. I don't think we should feed the horses with it at all. It gives most horses ulcers.

Extremely fascinated
I think it's extremely fascinated to see how animals can take care of one when you are sick. Now I've been pretty sick the last couple of days and yet I have fought my way out to Giga. All the times I've fed her, she has been very cautious with me. She's just so sweet and loving. She lies her head over my shoulder. Which she usually does very rarely. Plus I just can cuddle her all I want in her face, which she normally hates. She's just a lovely horse with a great maternal instinct, or so do I think.
