Things looks bright

Is there anyone who has ridden my horse in the 2 weeks I've been sick? xD
I would almost believe that, after how Giga performed today. She was just fantastic. She was extremely calm and very responsive. She did everything I asked her, she stopped admittedly when I asked for it. She was just a dream to ride. She did even the short canter really good. Things looks bright right now. If she after 2 weeks without being ridden can do this, then I really look forward to work more with her! *What a lovely horse*!

Hmm, I thought a lot of Victor and Baltazar today. I have a really bad conscience, about that they just stand in Sweden and that they are not really doing anything. I wish I could just move them to Denmark. I miss them terribly much! Why must everything be so complicated always!

Hormonal disturbed horse!

I have a hormonal disturbed horse! Many have seen her jump on Bertha (the Fell pony). Oddly enough it seems like Bertha think it's nice. It must be spring that makes Giga completely crazy! What a wacky horse!

Nice weekend

I've had a really nice weekend. The Fell Pony (Bertha), which I fed this weekend is just so lovely. She is so calm and happy. She was quite surprised when I had food for her both Saturday and Sunday.

Today Giga got a decent massage. I didn't have the strength to ride her. So I chose to spend an hour just to brush her and cuddle her. She enjoyed it very much! Then we went down to the outdoor arena and watched the others rode and trained their horses. It was really nice and chill. I spent 4 hours out on the farm without really doing anything. I talked a lot with the new girl with the Irish Cob gelding. She is really nice. There's just always a great atmosphere at the Flower Farm. It's unbelievable that so many girls can get along, I'm not used to it!

Smart tips!

I just read on a Facebook group, that a teacher had a pupil with big problems regarding hard hands.

She had swapped out the reins with a rubber band chambon - then it's quite difficult to have hard hands. The rubber band should teach the pupil about the lack of elastic which the student had in his hand, and to ride more with the seat. I think it's pretty smart, if it's just in the beginning.

Bitless Competition at 2012 Helsinki Horse Fair Huge Success!

Here's a small update on how it went to the bitless competition in Helsinki.

The Tunne Hevonen(horse on finnish) Dressage Challenge with bitless dressage competition exhibition held on Saturday 3 March 2012 at the second ever Helsinki Horse Fair in Finland was a huge success. The fair was attended by around 42,000 visitors and the exhibition was Saturday's main attracttion.  The idea was to show that good riding is not based on equipment, but on good horse riding skills and good horsemanship.

Another day of sickness

As I said the previous days, I have been very sick, so there's not much concerning horse training. But I am every day out and say hello to Giga and today was no exception. I saw that there has come a really sweet new Irish Cob gelding to the farm. It is quite small compared to Giga but it looks pretty cute. It's fun to see how many variations there are of the Irish Cob breed, they come in all sizes and colors.

Tomorrow I'm going to feed another horse on the farm, the sweet Fell mare, the owner needed some help. Additionally, I hope I'm fresh enough to train Giga. I miss training her seriously. And I'm REALLY tired of being sick all the time. I don't get far with being sick all the time!

This blog starts to become more and more depressing, can you feel it? xD
