Too many Red Bulls?

Yesterday I was out on a long trip with two of my really good friends! We had a really fun ride. We had probably been drinking too many Red Bulls, so our energy level was pretty high.
It was some nice warm weather - for once. The only thing that really sucked was all the flies. Giga hates them! We rode out at 3 o'clock and was home again at 6 o'clock. Poor horses!

So Giga got trained "lightly" today. And it went pretty well. I think we are ready for some academic teaching. I have already contacted a trainer.

Positive training session

Despite my very negative experience with Giga yesterday we had a really positive training session today. She was very upset because all the flies. They are very angry at the moment and bite so hard. So it was a factor I should consider. She got 3-4 angry flips (She tried to run away with me). But we got through it and she began to respond well to my stop signal . However, the trip was very short in the woods. But rather stop too soon than too late. And this is really hard for her, unfortunately.

It may well be that Giga is a real bastard sometimes.
But she's just a really wonderful horse for most of the time. I love that mare!

The saddle didn't fit -.-

The saddle didn't fit. Giga was COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE. I've never experienced anything like it. She didn't care about me at all! She pushed, squashed and even stepped on me. So now she's going to really get some intense training of her stop signal.

But unfortunately she bucked with the saddle. SUCKS!

Cross fingers

Today I'll try another saddle on Giga, cross fingers for it fits her.
I really would love to soon have a new saddle! She needs one!

Wow, what a horse!

This is Trovador da Raposa, bred by Heitor Nisencwajg in Brasil. He was Champion Stallion over 5 years old in this year's International Lusitano Expo in Lisbon.

That stallion can some good moves, if you know what I mean ;-D

Finally a day without rain!

I think Denmark will soon drown. Throughout June, it has almost rained every day. What a summer, huh? Oh, but today it was thankfully beautiful weather and probably about 20 degrees. It was quite fortunate as me and three friends had agreed we would ride out together today. We rode down to a beautiful lake that lies pretty far from Flower Farm, ca. 1 hour. We rode from the farm at 09.30 and we were home again at 13.15. So it was a long trip. Giga did pretty good but on the way home, she got something of an mentalte breakdown. Very annoying. I'm a little tired of her. But I'll just have to train more in the woods. But otherwise we had a fun day at the lake. Giga was the first who was really out swimming, although it took some time to get her into the water. Crazy Horse!
