UPDATE!

My life is very hectic at the moment, but also very exciting! I have started my studies as a zookeeper with horses in specialty. I get 4 hours of riding lessons weekly + all the loose. It is very fun but also a little hard. I have found an internship at a P.R.E. stud, which I am looking forward to!

I've had a really exciting program at school. We were out and greet the Guard hussars in Slagelse, after we saw some farms; If I could, I had taken a lot of horses with me home. Wow, some lovely and good-natured animals I met that day!

In terms of my own horses, it's going extremely well. It's all just progress at the moment. I've got a rider to them both, when I don't have time for them because of school and work. One woman has Victor all weekdays and the other girl has Giga every Wednesday and Saturday. The whole entire thing works just great.

New riding boots!

Today I got some "new" riding boots. My good friend had bought some new, so she wanted to sale her "old" ones. Fortunately, they fit me perfectly. They're just so Awesome! And I really can't remember when I last rode with correct footwear. Now I can get a good start on my first riding lesson at my school. I'm a little excited and I'd rather have all my equipment is all right, so it's just amazing I got these boots.

Take a "chance"

Today I decided to take a "chance" and pull both Victor and Giga together up to the grooming area. I didn't think it could be true that after 5.5 years, they suddenly should be so unable to be with each other. To my great surprise it went just fine. After they had eaten their food I let them go free in the outdoor arena. It was as if suddenly Giga could recognize Victor. And there I got my romantic reunion. They cuddled for quite a lon time. Oh, they where just in love. It was so nice to see! So I guess from now on there's no more any problems.

OL?

Is there anyone who has followed the Olympic equestrian sport? I'm sure some of you have.
I have followed it, with a half open eye. I must honestly say that I think it's cruel to see how the dressage is these days. I think it's crazy that people who ride their horses in Rollkur and with completely improper carrying of the body gets so high points. I don't understand how the judges can close their eyes. It's grotesque! Additionally a Danish equestrian sports magazine (RideHesten) praise riders for their magnificent achievement. I don't think well of the performance value when the horse gets ridden with their head right against their chest, with a carb bit, spurs and a whip. I'm disgusted. But I think cross contry and show jumping is on a little better track.

Pictures from this years OL in London:

Collection i guess?

Beautiful contact!

Happy Horse?

The drawing shows how it should look like. What happened?

This is how it should look! Light contact and the muscles on this horse are positioned correctly. The horses you see at the Olympics look like something ready for the slaughterhouse!

Wonderful day!

I've had a wonderful day with many positive experiences. I was already out on the farm at 11 this morning. And I was home at 5 o'clock.

I cleaned Victors wounds, he was not happy about it. They hurt very much. Then I took him down on the outdoor riding arena and let him walk around and check it all out. He called a lot after his friends but he was still incredibly contact seeking. After a while came a woman that might want to ride and look after him in the weekdays. She was completely lost in him and we got a really good talk about behavior and Victor as he is overall. She was completely sold. We rode him a little bit and he was just so calm and happy with the attention he got. So after 2 hours in his company she chose to be his rider in the weekdays. It's a huge relief for me, considering the time issue and financially. Victor was really happy for her, which he rarely is for new riders. I've had him for 8 years, so it's no wonder he is very attached to me.

Later I got a riding lesson on Giga. Which also went really well but it was hard to hold the concentration because of the heat. However, there is much progress in terms of Gigas stop signal and my position with my body. So today has just been really nice!

Pictures from today

Here are some picture from today's event.

Now it's official!

Now it's official. Victor got moved from Sweden to Denmark today. It was mentally tough because I love with all my heart my parents' farm in Sweden. And the nature is so beautiful and lovely. But I had to see what was best for Victor. Many of my friends showed up at the Flower Farm to say hello to Victor. The trip went really well, he called much after his friends in Sweden. Virtually the entire trip he called after Baltazar and Molle. Flower Farms horses was really nice to him. But he just had to show of a little. Unfortunately, Giga was not particularly thrilled to meet Victor again. I had a romantic vision that they would be like crazy excited to see each other again. But Giga responded fairly aggressively towards Victor. She kind of attacked him. I was completely shocked. I am afraid she has got too much confidence and has become too dominant. So that I must work on. It's really a shame!

I went out to the farm again at 8 o'clock because it's all a bit exciting and I had to say hello to Victor and see how he was doing. When I got up on the farm, I saw that the fence between the mares and geldings was destroyed and Victor had some deep wounds. I have no idea what had gone wrong in the 4 hours I wasn't there! But things had really gone bad. They were otherwise all so calm when I left them. I hope the wounds won't get an inflammation but tomorrow I have to clean them :-(
So the day ended, unfortunately, not quite as I had expected.
