Tomorrow I'm gonna' "work" a little for my school. There is a great horse fair tomorrow. It's called "Horse Life", and all the known coaches, trainers, riders, food experts etc. are coming and keeping some lectures. And then there's also a lot of shows both in academic riding, western, jumping, dressage, etc. I'm really looking forward to it! I only have to stand at a stall for two hours and then I'm free. I wish I had some money, so I could go shopping. There are many good deals on clothing, equipment and food. But we'll see, maybe I find something affordable :-)

Horse fair tomorrow!
Tomorrow I'm gonna' "work" a little for my school. There is a great horse fair tomorrow. And then there's also a lot of shows both in academic riding, western, jumping, dressage, etc. I'm really looking forward to it! I only have to stand at a stall for two hours and then I'm free. Self carriage?
It might be a funny picture. But purely facts shows it happens way too often. It's seen too often in Denmark, it's so common. I don't understand how you can ever believe that all these "help resources" as they nicely call it, helps the horse to a better shape? It is force! When you are forcing the horse down like that, the muscles gets built wrong because the horse isn't allowed to use it's body properly. And it hurts! I get so disgusted when I see horses that are tight up from their head to their hindquarters. Maybe it's a simple and quick solution. But in the end you get a horse with possible joint problems, improper muscle composition, neck problems and impurity in the pace.
I feel sorry for these horses and not least their riders who feel compelled to use such crap to get their horses to go "nicely in self carriage".
That's what I call good service!
Do you remember the product I ordered yesterday? I have received today! When I got home from school, it was in front of my door. That kind of service I like. Now I just have to find time to try it on Victor. I won't use it until I have VERY much time a day. I want to make sure that his hair on his legs gets dry. If he has wet legs and comes out in the muddy field it doesn't help much on his mud fever. It can actually make it worse.

Mud fever :-(
I'm gonna' try a new product on Victor. Because of all the mud we have in the paddocks Victor has unfortunately gotten mud fever in his feather :-(
I've tried so many products and nothing takes it completely. So now I'm going to try something new. My friend has really good experiences with it. It's called Absorbine Medicated Shampoo and Spray. It takes all infections, mites, etc. So I'm looking forward to see if it works on Victor. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Many have good experience with their products. And I'll come back with updates when I've tried it on Victor: http://westernoutfitter.dk/product.asp?product=1508
Mud fever gone bad!
People Riding Inappropriate Animals
I found the first picture on Facebook of a woman riding a deer. This aroused a curiosity in me, so I started looking after animals people have tried to ride on. Some of them has probably more ability than others. But it's strange to see some of the animals with a rider on them. It looks so wrong.
Did you know that there are races with ostriches, water buffaloes, reindeer, elephants and camels. Funny isn't it?
