So sorry

Sorry, I haven't been active here on the blog.

There has been a lot of drama at the stable after the farm owner got two completely crazy horses to the stable. One was a Frederiksborg horse the size of a freaking tower! It was new neuterd and had never been on a field with other horses, and the owner had never owned a horse before, she seemed sweet but very insecure - SUPER, to take such a horse in to a farm, especially now that the mares on the farm is going in the same herd with the geldings. Which isn't generally a problem, but if you have a gelding that still thinks it's a stallion, it's bad business

The other horse was a Fjord horse mare, which had gone without human contact in 3 years. It almost killed me when I was trying to give its muzzle and halter on. The horse had laminitis and should have a muzzle on - damn smart when you know that all the stables' horses is going on huge field with knee high grass!

The Fjord horse created trouble in the sense it was not easy to handle, but with the herd it was all good. Victor was totally in love with her. BUT the giant Frederiksborg was a nightmare. As predicted, it didn't have natural horses languages and was still very like a stallion. This means ALL horses got beat up, which in sense of big wounds and sore muscles. Even Giga has gotten problems with her lower back after that crazy horse. She constantly had to kick it away.

With all this said, I have nothing against the girls who own the horses. I just think it's very irresponsible that neither the owner of the farm had asked thoroughly enough into the new horses and the owners had not informed enough regarding their horses. It is a shame for all parties. And we've now got a lot unnecessary damage to the horse and the fence had to be made many times. So that's why I have been a bit distracted...

Happy Giga

I had such a nice day with my boyfriend. Giga absolutely loves him, it's so fun to see her.
She comes running everytime she sees him! I may think his delicious bread plays a small role in her excitement.

More pictures from KMM

I spent my day off today at CPH medieval market. Unfortunately, it was really bad weather, so there was not much activity with the horses. I managed to see Lopes and the others ride a little, but it was not much. All seemed tired incl. the horses, so I think people became even more sluggish due to the weather, which is fully understandable. It was fun to see Victor in action, he was actually quite good today. I am still very impressed and I'm certainly motivated to continue in the same style.

CPH Medieval Market!

Today I went to Copenhagen medieval market (KMM) with Sille who's riding Giga for me some days in the week. It was a great experince. Victor is soooo cool. Peter has trained my horse really good! I got a bit Star Strucked by MishaĆ«l Abia Lopes Cardozo, I blused a lot when Peter threw me up behind him, I'm so shy. But it was just such a great day, I'm kind of out of words xD

Deep red color

Look at my new saddle blanket for Giga. I'm in love with this deep red color, it suits her. Now I'm just waiting on my new saddle so I no longer have to ride in this ugly old one.

I have ordered a Spanish / academic saddle. And I'm looking forward to getting it soon!

The TREC Team

Here's my cool TREC girls. The picture is from the TREC event last sunday.
So pretty horses <3

Trick Training

Right now I have a lot of focus on the trick, rearing. Giga is really good from the ground, she carries herself well, we're pretty damn close to the levade.
However, I'm fighting much with teaching her to rear when I sit on her. She refuses and is really angry when I ask her about it. I have been told by many that the reason she refuses is because she's afraid to risk anything happens to me.
She protects me a lot and have never really tried to throw me of or do me any harm, so the trick is not natural for her.

But I hope that Peter can help us in the future when he has time :-)
