The TREC Team

Here's my cool TREC girls. The picture is from the TREC event last sunday.
So pretty horses <3

Trick Training

Right now I have a lot of focus on the trick, rearing. Giga is really good from the ground, she carries herself well, we're pretty damn close to the levade.
However, I'm fighting much with teaching her to rear when I sit on her. She refuses and is really angry when I ask her about it. I have been told by many that the reason she refuses is because she's afraid to risk anything happens to me.
She protects me a lot and have never really tried to throw me of or do me any harm, so the trick is not natural for her.

But I hope that Peter can help us in the future when he has time :-)

Victor is now a TV Star!

It's way too fun. Victor was in the news today. He got really long TV time. The man who rides him is obviously a well-known actor who has been in Game Of Thrones and has been featured in many other knight inspirations movies.

I was kind of star strucked and wildly impressed with how calm Victor was. It's as if he has always has done, like everyday.

See the clip here:

The man standing beside of Victor, is Peter whom trained Victor and cured his muscle injury.

Victor is on the road again

Victor is on the road again....
As half agreed, I had promised Peter that if he lacked horses to KMM (Copenhagen medieval market), he could borrow Victor, especially now that he has helped him so much on the right track regarding his muscle injury.
And Peter stood suddenly and lacked horses, so Victor was picked up today, and will now experience a lot of fun the next 4 days. I'm just glad that others can get some benefit from him now that I don't really have the time or the money for all the fun :-)

I'm looking forward to drop by Sunday and see what my little knight horse can do!

R.I.P. my little angel :'(

Today when I came home from work I had received an e-mail from the family who bought Baltazar. When I saw the mail in my inbox, I was so delighted,  I thought that they probably had sent me some cute pictures of him. However, it wasn't the case at all.

I got some news beyond my wildest imagination!
The owner wrote that they had to put Baltazar down yesterday due volvulus. They wrote that they didn't understand it because he was a very healthy and happy pony, even the vet couldn't give them an explanation.

I'm deeply heartbroken! It's still quite surreal for me. Although I had sold him, rarely a day went by without me thinking about him and now he's gone, his beautiful and unique soul has left this earth.
It makes me so sad, and I've almost cried continuously since I read the mail.
I can't help but think that I never should have sold him, but as many of my friends say, neither I nor his current owners could do anything. It comes so suddenly and one can rarely save the horse, unless you have the opportunity to operate the horse immediately.

It's safe to say that I have lost the most good-natured, friendly, cute, unique, cheeky and always happy pony. There will never be a pony like him and it hurts me so much that he at the age of only 13 years had to leave this earth. I had an idea that he certainly would live until he was 40 years, but fate wanted him something else.

He has taught so many children to ride and many who have never had an interest in horses has got it because of him. He has been the cause of countless smiles and laughs through time, all who met him loved him, even all the horses, dogs and cats, and he loved them all back as much.
In all the time I've had him, he has been nicknamed, King Baltazar , many have said it before I mentioned it.

He carried an aura that made him very majestic, he loved to stand on the highest hill and look out on "his" herd. His confidence was as large as the tallest Shire. I'll try to remind myself of all the good memories he has given me and many others. I think it gives me peace of mind that despite a tough start in life, he had many good years with me, and 1.5 at his new family. He has been loved to his last day and is still loved by many.

R.I.P. my little angel, I'll never forget you<3

The TREC event

The TREC event went very well yesterday, despite what little I had trained with Giga, I'm simply so happy and proud of her. The first two parts, i.e., orientation ride and control of gaits went really good. It was mostly the last part with all the obstacles that didn't go so well. Among other things, to open a gate and to jump over a hedge (which btw. was not a hedge but a fence with two branches on), didn't really go that well. I couldn't get close to the gate, because she was not interested in standing still and she ran around the hedge!

However, I got many points for my style, which is mainly my horsemanship, which is pretty nice.

I have not yet received photos from the event, but I opload as soon as I get some.
