Criticism :-)

I have received some criticism regarding my grammar and spelling on my blog. And I apologize. I am 50% dyslexic and I'm unfortunately a Dane. I'll do my best and I hope you get the meaning of what I write, despite my mistakes here and there. You are welcome to come with some criticism or advice. I would love to optimize my blog. So write to me :-)

My gypsy draft horse

Today I was greeted by a lot of happy horses in the paddock, funny enough, they all called when they saw me EXCEPT my own horse of course. The Icelandic horse Mysla and the other Irish Cob Maddi loves me because I always have something good to eat with me, apples or carrots.

Today I meant to only feed Giga and go home again ( I was pretty tired). But I changed my mind when we came up to the grooming area. We went for a walk around the residential area. We met a kindergarten where two little girls just completely adored Giga. So cute!

It went okay, Giga was a little uncomfortable when we reached a school, there was a little too much noise and she was "all alone". So I rode back home when I felt she started getting a little nervous. It was a wonderful trip. And once again we got stopped by some people who wanted to say hello and talk. There are virtually almost only Icelandic horses out in this area so they are not used to a large gypsy draft horses :-)

I miss summer!!!

I miss summer so bad!

I just found this video from last summer. In sweden we have a small river, right behind our farm. I got an crazy idea that I wanted to ride there. So I rode down to the river with Victor, and he LOVED it. It was the best thing I could do with him that summer. And my dog Chanel enjoyed it just much as Victor.

Don't mind my ugly voice. I'm just saying a lot of nonsense in Danish.

Uuuuh!

On Thursday or Friday I'm going to get my baroque inspired pad for Giga. I am soooo happy. Unfortunately, I'm just missing a Spanish saddle. Why don't I have 8.000 kr? And why is the equine sport so expensive!?

It will be interesting to see my pad. Especially because I've got it special designed :-D

The horse's tongue (strong pictures)

Can you remember my previous post regarding the horse tongue?
There are now two sides of the story. According to several veterinarians are the wounds too old, so it couldn't be from the time the trainer had the horse. Now there are rumors about that it's the owners fault. It's so terrible!
Who it may be shouldn't be in possession of animals never again!!!

What just happened?

Hmm, what just happened. Yesterday, there was no snow at all?

Today when I woke up I was greeted by this sight. An entire snow-covered world. It was really cold yesterday but there was no sign of snow. I think in general whole DK was pretty surprised.

The funny thing is that when there is finally snow, I turne into a small kid. I love snow but I hate the cold weather!

I had a really fun day at the Flower Farm today. I rode a long trip with Karla. She has an Icelandic mare on 22 years. It took an hour before we could get out and ride because her horse Müsla just stopped 5 times on the way up to the grooming area. I've never seen such a stubborn pony before. However, we had more in store. When we finally came out on the trail, she would just not go. Karla tried to jump off and pull, it didn't work, she jumped up again and tried to kick her, it didn't work, I tried to ride Giga into her quarters, it didn't work, we tried everything nothing worked. But suddenly Müsla just walked a few steps and so it went on the whole way to the woods. The funniest of all was that when we were in the woods she just wanted to run forward, as in trot and canter. What a funny horse :-D
A different matter is that I think Müsla has an incredibly bad forward signal, Victor is nothing compared to what I saw today. I'm thinking of asking Karla if she needs some help.
I'd like to help her because even though it was pretty funny today, but I would guess that this habit is not fun every day.

We rode in 3 hours. Only walk and a little trot. It's fun to see how crazy people are with Giga. Everyone wants to say hello to my great "workhorse". Sometimes it's pretty fun with all the attention :-)
