Glorious day

What a glorious day. I've just had one of those days where everything just goes well and as it should - it happens very seldom in my life, not to say almost never. But I went up to Giga after work. She was really tense at the grooming area, so I took my whip and made some stop and go exercises and after 5 minutes she stood still. I must say that Andrew McLean's methods is pretty effective. After that everything went really well. She was fantastic to ride and for the first we completed an entire outdoor arena with Spanish steps. Good girl.

If only I had Victor and Baltazar with me. I miss them so bad!

BTW. don't ride in tight jeans!

A really good day

Today has been a really good day, although I just have been really sick. But I thought it should not stop me from training my boys in the good weather. I drove a long trip with Baltazar in the woods. Once again we enjoyed it so much. He loves getting out and seeing "the world" with me. He's just so sweet!

I rode Victor on the outdoor arena without  saddle. It's wonderful to ride bareback on a horse that is so calm. As I wrote yesterday it is nice to feel 110% safe, I'll always be a little nervous on Gigas back because of her temperament. All my horses have good and bad sides and it has its charm!

Eventful day!

Today I have achieved quite much. I have been SO energetic, do not ask me why because I'm pretty sick still. But I started the day with extending the fence to the horses so they could get some grass. Oh, how they stood and waited, as you can see in the picture:

When we opened the gate to the grass was Baltazar and Victor the first ones to run in. On the other side stood Molle and looked, he didn't realize we had opened the fence, it took him 3 min. before he saw it. He's just a small baby, next time he's for sure the first one getting to the grass.

Later I went into the forest along with Baltazar. I "saddle" him up, and fasten him to his little wagon and then we were well on our way to an adventure in the forest. I've completely forgotten how much fun such a ride is. It was great to see how much Balte enjoyed it. He really loves to do something. He is so happy and proud, especially when he has the wagon behind him. We had a good gallop, it was awesome.

Then I went into the forest along with Victor. I miss riding him. It's great that I can ride off into the woods without a saddle without a bit in his mouth and not be afraid that he runs with me. He's so calm and quiet. I can always feel safe on his back. It was a really nice trip. However, we got us a big shock on the way home. A little girl about 8 years old came galloping up on her pony, she did not stop and rode right past us. - And therefore little girls should not ride alone in the woods, they have no sense of responsibility and respect for the dangers they expose themselves and others to. Victor got pretty frightened and wanted to gallop after the pony. So I had to jump off and calm him down. When they were out of sight I jumped up on him again and so we rode quietly home. What an eventful day!

Brushing time

Tonight I brushed Baltazar from "head to hoof". He needed it very much, unfortunately. I feel so guilty that I can't be with my two boys every day. Baltazar enjoyed it fully. That pony is just so good and kind as the day is long!

I trained him a little on the outdoor arena. We played and had a great time. He can just give me a big smile on my lips.
