I'm just so bad at updating my blog

Hello everyone!

Sorry! I'm just so bad at updating my blog. Or I'm terrible. But there is just  happening so much in my life at the moment. It is difficult to manage school, horses, work and life at home. But with that said, I have a lot to tell.

I barely know where to start. Well, school's going really well apart from I've sprained my knee and I have more or less not ridden for 5 weeks now and I'm still on painkillers 10 days ahead. But if you look away from that I'm really happy for my school and the tings we learn about.

A different matter is the horses. They are doing well. However there has happened a lot on Flower Farm, which has led to I am moving my horses to a new farm with two of my really good friends.

We are moving them to a really nice place, with a large indoor arena, small outdoor arena, large pens and they come in at night. In addition, if I help in the stables I'll get free lessons in academic dressage. So I look forward moving already on 30/11. And I can't wait until I can ride indoors, where there's light. When I come home from school, it's already quite dark, so it will be good!

Here's the indoor arena, with the farms beautiful stallion. They breed Baroque horses.

I'm humbled but proud

I've been through a difficult time with Giga. But after five months of "struggle", we have now succeeded.

We can now ride with a Cordeo :-)

I'm humbled but proud of what we have achieved.

Massage time

Today both of my horses got massage. Victor enjoyed it very much, Giga thought it was a little bit boring. I got it for free because my good friend's friend had to practice on various horse breeds.

However, the masseuse did sometimes hit the right spot.

UPDATE!

My life is very hectic at the moment, but also very exciting! I have started my studies as a zookeeper with horses in specialty. I get 4 hours of riding lessons weekly + all the loose. It is very fun but also a little hard. I have found an internship at a P.R.E. stud, which I am looking forward to!

I've had a really exciting program at school. We were out and greet the Guard hussars in Slagelse, after we saw some farms; If I could, I had taken a lot of horses with me home. Wow, some lovely and good-natured animals I met that day!

In terms of my own horses, it's going extremely well. It's all just progress at the moment. I've got a rider to them both, when I don't have time for them because of school and work. One woman has Victor all weekdays and the other girl has Giga every Wednesday and Saturday. The whole entire thing works just great.

New riding boots!

Today I got some "new" riding boots. My good friend had bought some new, so she wanted to sale her "old" ones. Fortunately, they fit me perfectly. They're just so Awesome! And I really can't remember when I last rode with correct footwear. Now I can get a good start on my first riding lesson at my school. I'm a little excited and I'd rather have all my equipment is all right, so it's just amazing I got these boots.

Take a "chance"

Today I decided to take a "chance" and pull both Victor and Giga together up to the grooming area. I didn't think it could be true that after 5.5 years, they suddenly should be so unable to be with each other. To my great surprise it went just fine. After they had eaten their food I let them go free in the outdoor arena. It was as if suddenly Giga could recognize Victor. And there I got my romantic reunion. They cuddled for quite a lon time. Oh, they where just in love. It was so nice to see! So I guess from now on there's no more any problems.

OL?

Is there anyone who has followed the Olympic equestrian sport? I'm sure some of you have.
I have followed it, with a half open eye. I must honestly say that I think it's cruel to see how the dressage is these days. I think it's crazy that people who ride their horses in Rollkur and with completely improper carrying of the body gets so high points. I don't understand how the judges can close their eyes. It's grotesque! Additionally a Danish equestrian sports magazine (RideHesten) praise riders for their magnificent achievement. I don't think well of the performance value when the horse gets ridden with their head right against their chest, with a carb bit, spurs and a whip. I'm disgusted. But I think cross contry and show jumping is on a little better track.

Pictures from this years OL in London:

Collection i guess?

Beautiful contact!

Happy Horse?

The drawing shows how it should look like. What happened?

This is how it should look! Light contact and the muscles on this horse are positioned correctly. The horses you see at the Olympics look like something ready for the slaughterhouse!
