I'm impressed!

I'm impressed!

I would definitely recommend this product: Absorbine Medicated Shampoo
I washed Victor's legs Sunday and today he has virtually no more mud fever!

It's so awesome, I have almost tried everything to prevent the mud fever, so it's really nice I finally found something that works!

Remember to maximum wash with  the shampoo once a week. Once you have washed the legs with the shampoo remember to wash the legs every day with ONLY water and then apply the spray with disinfection :-)

A trip to the emergency room

Jup, it's true. I went to the emergency room today.
I fell off a BIG horse (1,85+) and I landed right on my bad knee. Typical!

I was in a longe and my teacher wanted us to practice balance exercises. Suddenly the horse gets too close to the fence, which is tied up by some strings, so my foot gets wrapped around it. The horse panics. And I just remember i saw us tear half the roundpen down and then I looked forward and saw it started jumping high up in the air! It's gaits was really weird and intense so I didn't have a chance.

I got shot straight up in the air and landed directly on my bad knee and then my head. I blacked out in some seconds and when I "woke up" agian all my friends and the teacher was standing around me. It was a bit embarrassing because we had a primary school class visiting us. But they got at least a show.

My teacher is very obsessed with pussing people to the edge. He wants almost to see blood and bones through the clothes before he lets you go from class. It's just tough love. He wanted me up on a horse again. But not the same, he wanted me up on a young horse whos not even ridden! Like WTF!

But oh well, the teacher's word is law. So I had to fight my way up on this young Welsh Cob. Fortunately, I didn't fall of. In spite of it was very nervous and full of energy...

Status regarding my knee: It's probably sprained again. I just love my life!

I can't remember when I last laughed so much

After I had washed Victor, I went on a walk in the forest with my friend. We had a really fun trip. My friend fell twice of her horse. I can't remember when I last laughed so much. She just looked like a sack of potatoes when she fell off. The second time she fell of in the middle of the trail. It was nothing dramatic, she just tried to jump up on her horse, which she following got too much speed and jump like over her horse. A runner came right past in that moment. I just stood and laughed, I could barely breathe. The runner was deeply shocked and told me to help my friend, he grabbed the horse and thought she was almost dead or something. His reaction made me laugh even harder! And my friend was just lying on the ground and laughing her pants of!

Oh, and it's 2.5 months since I've been sitting on my horses. It was great to ride them both again! It is quite a relief and I can feel I'm much happier now.

 I can do it!

Maybe not :-D

Elimination of mud fever!

When I came out on the farm I started to wash Victor's hair on his legs. Sadly, his mud fever is much worse than what I had expected. So I probably have to cut his hair. But my new product seems to be really good.

Unfortunately I can't do much right now because he doesn't come in at night. I can only try to keep it down and then I have to seriously do something about it when we move to the new farm.

Here's some pictures step by step how it looked.

1) This is how it looked this morning

2) First I washed the worst mud of his legs

3) Then it was time for the shampoo. I applied only a small amount as it foams a lot.

4) I scrub it well into his hair.

Mom, I don't want to stand still anymore!

5) Then I wash thoroughly all four legs

6) And finally I dry his hair as best I can.

This is how Victors mud fever looks like :-/

I just couldnt wait

It's a long time since I've been looking so much forward to seeing my horses. I woke up at 08 this morning because I just couldnt wait to see them. So I'm already driving out to the farm at 10 o'clock. I think I found the spark again now that my knee is much better. The last two months have not been fun and I've taken a little distance from the horses. I felt like I couldn't do anything with them. Just simple things like getting them from the field was a struggle for me. So it's just amazing my knee can finally keep up.

And today you'll get an update on how my product to Victor's legs works!

Giga and I this summer <3
